
The CareFusion Diversity Council is a presence in our global community which promotes diversity and inclusion within. The Council exists to help develop talent internally, to educate and inform employees about diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization, to support CareFusion's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and to endorse charitable community events.
The vision of the Diversity Council is to be a world-class medical technology organization that builds its strength through the successful integration of diverse cultures and backgrounds. The CareFusion Diversity Council’s goal is to promote respect for personal distinctions and to foster an inclusive, caring culture where employees can achieve their full potential. We believe that diversity in our workforce is global business strength.
Role and purpose:
- Raise awareness and knowledge, contribute insight and education on the topic of diversity and inclusion
- Engage and gain support from our senior leadership around diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Align diversity and inclusion within our culture and beliefs
- Act as a catalyst to stimulate creating an inclusive environment
The Diversity Council also provides guidance to our Employee Resource Groups:
- African-Americans Demonstrating the Value of Awareness Necessary for Corporate Excellence (ADVANCE)
- Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Awareness (HOLA)
- Asian Pacific American Network (APAN)
- Women Initiatives Network (WIN)
- Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender & Advocates Network (GLBTA)
